About me
My name is Luka Glavendekić, and music has been an important part of my life since early childhood. From a young age, I developed a strong interest in rhythm, sound, and musical expression, especially in drums and percussion. Because of this, I decided to focus my musical path on percussion and dedicate myself seriously to learning and improving in this field.
Musical development
Over the years, I have continuously developed my musical skills through daily practice, performances, and collaboration with other musicians. I have actively participated in various concerts and musical events, where I gained valuable stage experience and strengthened my confidence as a performer.
Awards & achievements
Throughout my musical education, I have received multiple awards at both national and international percussion competitions. I have won several prizes in different percussion categories at competitions such as the International Competition of Young Musicians Sonus in Križevci, regional competitions of music and dance students, and international percussion competitions in Belgrade.
Among these achievements, I was awarded the Professor Balthazar Award for outstanding results in chamber music performance. In addition, I received the Oskar Znanja award, one of the highest recognitions for exceptional achievements in education and competitions in Croatia.
Education & artist growth
As a percussion student, I continued my musical education at a higher level, where I work daily on technical and artistic development. My studies have allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of music theory, interpretation, and a professional approach to music.
Through academic education, I have had the opportunity to work on various projects and collaborate with talented musicians and professors who have strongly influenced my musical development.
Music production & film
Alongside my studies at the academy, I am also involved in music production. This area interests me greatly because it allows me to explore sound design, arrangement, and creative work beyond live performance.
I am especially interested in film music, as I find it to be one of the most powerful ways music can shape emotions and storytelling.
I had the opportunity to work on the Croatian film “Tuđe stvari”, which was a very valuable experience and strengthened my interest in film scoring and music for visual media.
Digital projects
I also composed music for the application Scuba Calendar, creating original music that matched the concept and atmosphere of the project. This experience helped me further develop my skills in composition and music production, especially for digital media and applied projects.
Ensembles & Collaboration
I am actively involved in different musical ensembles. As a member of the ensemble biNg bang and the jazz ensemble of the Music Academy, I have participated in various academy projects and international musical events.
Working in ensembles has helped me improve my sense of musical collaboration, listening, and adapting to different styles and performance requirements.
Goal
My goal is to continue developing as a musician, improving both my performance and production skills, and establishing my place in the professional music world.
I aim to further specialize in music production and film scoring, combining my performance background with creative studio work and future film projects.
